Grokipedia ships v0.3 redesign after months of dormancy

Grokipedia, SpaceXAI's AI-powered competitor to Wikipedia, shipped a v0.3 update with a new logo and redesigned homepage and live-edits pages. The release follows a stretch in which the site appeared frozen, with no visible edits for months before activity resumed recently.

The old Grokipedia homepage was little more than a logo and a search bar. The v0.3 homepage adds a featured-articles section rendered as spinnable digital book covers, a horizontally scrolling 'most read' shelf styled as book spines, and a tracker surfacing the latest edits.

“newly refreshed Grokipedia”
— Benji Taylor, SpaceXAI head of design

SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor framed the release as a visual refresh rather than a functional overhaul. Article pages themselves look largely the same, though the fact tables at the top of entries have been reformatted and line spacing has tightened. The live-edits page now shows more recent changes at once.

Key facts

  • 01Grokipedia v0.3 adds a new logo, a featured-articles homepage, a most-read shelf, and an updated live-edits page.
  • 02SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor described the update as a 'newly refreshed Grokipedia.'
  • 03Grokipedia launched as v0.1 in late October 2025 with AI-cloned Wikipedia pages, followed by v0.2 a month later.
  • 04A Lawfare report in August said no entry had changed in more than three months before edits resumed.

Grokipedia launched as v0.1 in late October 2025 with AI-cloned pages derived from Wikipedia, followed by a v0.2 update roughly a month later. Updates then appeared to stall. Lawfare published a report in August stating that, as far as it could tell, no entry had changed in more than three months.

The resumption of edits and the v0.3 redesign suggest renewed internal attention to the project at SpaceXAI. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
