Who we are
AI Chat Daily is an independent publication. "We", "us", and "our" refer to AI Chat Daily. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the site. For any formal legal communications, email hello@aichatdaily.com.
Your use of the site
AI Chat Daily is free to read. You may:
- Read, enjoy, and share links to our content.
- Quote short excerpts in your own writing, podcast, video, or presentation, provided you credit AI Chat Daily and link to the original story.
- Use our content for non-commercial personal reading, research, teaching, and study.
You agree not to:
- Scrape or crawl at scale. Automated requests that significantly exceed normal reader behavior, ignore our
robots.txt, or spoof user-agents to evade rate limits are not permitted. - Re-publish full articles — on another site, in a newsletter, inside an app, or anywhere else — without our prior written permission.
- Train machine-learning models on our content without a written license from us. Our robots file signals this preference to automated crawlers; that signal also constitutes notice under applicable law. See the AI training and scraping section below.
- Strip attribution — remove bylines, source links, disclosures, or publication dates from our content before re-use.
- Misrepresent our reporting — including selectively quoting in a way that changes the meaning of a piece, or attributing fabricated quotes to our bylines.
- Use the site to distribute malware, phishing attempts, or any unlawful content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, probe for vulnerabilities without a coordinated disclosure agreement, or interfere with how the site operates for other readers.
- Impersonate AI Chat Daily, our staff, or our contributors.
Ownership of our content
Articles, podcast episodes, newsletter issues, graphics, photographs, audio, video, data visualizations, and the underlying source code that powers this site are © AI Chat Daily unless otherwise noted. Some images and logos are licensed from third parties (press images, wire services, company artwork) and remain the property of their respective owners under their own terms.
Fair use / fair dealing rights under applicable copyright law are not affected by these terms.
AI training and scraping
AI Chat Daily's content is not licensed for use as training data for machine-learning systems, foundation-model pre-training or fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, synthetic data pipelines, or the production of derivative summaries offered as a substitute for our reporting. If you are building an AI product and want to cite, quote, or surface our content, please email us to discuss a written license. We sometimes say yes.
Search engines and RSS readers that respect our robots.txt and send readers back to the source are welcome and do not need a separate license.
Accounts
Most of the site does not require an account. If we introduce optional accounts (for example, for a paid tier), you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when signing up.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account.
- Be responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
User submissions
When you send us a story tip, comment, pitch, or any other submission, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share that material with us (you created it, own it, or are lawfully permitted to disclose it).
- We can use the submission for journalistic purposes — including publishing part or all of it — subject to the ground rules you set. See the tips page for how we handle on-the-record vs. anonymous submissions.
- We may archive the submission in our records even if we do not publish it, in accordance with our privacy policy.
Accuracy and opinion
We try hard to be accurate. Despite our best efforts, we are human and we sometimes get things wrong. Where we do, see our corrections policy. Opinion and analysis pieces reflect the views of the author and are labeled as such. Quoted statements represent what the speaker said, not our endorsement of what they said.
No professional advice
Nothing on AI Chat Daily constitutes investment, legal, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Our reporting sometimes touches on markets, products, companies, and tools; we are journalists and we write for a general audience. You are responsible for your own decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.
Third-party links and services
We link extensively to primary sources and external sites. We do not control those sites, and their terms and privacy practices are their own. Clicking out of AI Chat Daily means you are subject to the rules of wherever you end up.
Warranty disclaimer
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express and implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be available at all times, error-free, secure against every threat, or accurate in every particular.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Chat Daily and its editors, contributors, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or the site is limited to USD $100 or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold AI Chat Daily harmless from any claim arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of our content, or your infringement of another party's rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the site for any reader who violates these terms or whose use of the site puts others at risk. You can stop using the site at any time; if you have a subscription, you can cancel from your account or by emailing hello@aichatdaily.com.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where AI Chat Daily's publisher is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by writing to us first must be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction over that location, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in how we operate, new products, or changes in the law. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page; continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
