Nvidia's RTX Spark platform arrived in shipping hardware at IFA 2026 in Berlin, with Lenovo, Dell, HP, Asus, Microsoft and Acer showing the first laptops and mini PCs built around the company's Grace-Blackwell superchip. The lead device, Lenovo's 16-inch Yoga 9n 2-in-1, measures 0.69 inches thick — 0.03 inches off the 16-inch MacBook Pro — while packing an Arm-based SoC with up to 20 CPU cores and up to 6,144 GPU cores. Lenovo's AMD-powered ThinkCentre X Ultra, announced alongside, starts at $3,699 and tops out at 128GB of memory.
The unveil comes three months after Nvidia first showed RTX Spark silicon, and the pitch is now concrete: run agentic AI workflows locally instead of piping every prompt to a data center. The chip fuses CPU, GPU and memory on a single die, closer in architecture to Apple silicon than to a conventional Windows laptop with a discrete GPU.

On core count alone, the integrated GPU sits between an RTX 5070 Ti and an RTX 5080 as configured in current laptops. Lower-power SKUs are expected, though the performance spread has not been disclosed. Nvidia has not published battery-life figures either, but the Arm-based SoC approach should deliver better efficiency than a discrete-GPU equivalent.

The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 tops out at 64GB of memory, less than expected for a machine sold on its ability to hold AI models in RAM. The step-up Yoga Pro 9n, a 15-inch clamshell at 0.66 inches thick with a 2560 x 1600 OLED, pushes that ceiling to 128GB. Both devices carry a 9.2-megapixel webcam, a six-speaker sound system and rounded metallic edges positioned directly against the MacBook Pro.
The broader RTX Spark laptop lineup shipping this fall includes the Dell XPS 16, Asus ProArt P16, Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra and, in a smaller form factor, the 14-inch HP OmniBook X 14. Every announced model targets creators and developers running local AI, rather than the mainstream ultraportable buyer.
On the desktop side, Acer's SFF RTX Spark and Asus's ProArt Mini PC — both Mac Mini-sized — advertise a petaflop of AI performance with up to 128GB of memory. Their arrival lands a week after Apple announced the M6 Mac mini and M5 Ultra Mac Studio, sharpening a two-horse race for the local-AI desktop.
Nvidia is not alone in this segment. Lenovo's ThinkCentre X Ultra runs AMD's Ryzen Max+ Pro 495, the same chip inside the Framework Desktop and available now in AMD's 128GB developer kit. AMD has quietly built a credible foothold in agentic-AI hardware while attention has focused on Nvidia.

Pricing is the missing variable, and it will not be forgiving. The ThinkCentre X Ultra's $3,699 base is before the top memory configuration. For comparison, Apple's cheapest MacBook Pro above the M5 base model runs $2,349 with 24GB of RAM, and a 128GB MacBook Pro is $6,139 today.
The privacy argument for local AI is straightforward: agents handling financial data, inboxes and personal documents are safer when the model never leaves the device. That argument only works if the hardware to run a capable model at home is actually available and actually affordable — which is where RTX Spark and its AMD rival will be judged.
The strategic read for Nvidia is that the RTX Spark launch extends the company's grip beyond the data center and into the personal computer, at a moment when Apple silicon has become the default reference for on-device AI. If the price ceiling settles anywhere near the MacBook Pro's $6,139 for 128GB, Nvidia and its partners have a fight; if it lands higher, the local-AI market stays Apple's to lose. Either way, the era of AI PCs is no longer a slide deck — it ships this fall.
