Encore AI raises $30M to turn sales call transcripts into voice agents

The Team8-led Series A backs a pitch that CRM giants can't easily copy: agents trained on which conversations actually closed.

Encore AI raises $30M to turn sales call transcripts into voice agents

Encore AI raised $30 million in a Series A round led by Team8 to build voice agents trained on the actual sales and support calls that closed deals for its customers. The company now serves more than 40 enterprise customers globally, most of them financial institutions, and says annual recurring revenue has grown more than 5x since its seed round less than 18 months ago. Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and several banks and insurers also joined the round, with some of the financial institutions piloting the product before writing checks.

Founded in 2022 as Insait IO by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the company started out selling recommendation software to financial advisers and relationship managers. It has since rebranded as Encore AI and rebuilt the platform around what Ginzburg calls "interaction mining" — ingesting call recordings, emails, and text messages, tying them to CRM records, and identifying which specific moves in a conversation moved a deal forward and which killed it.

The output is an AI agent whose behavior is shaped by the playbooks of a company's own top performers. Encore's platform breaks each customer interaction into stages, measures what worked at each stage, and stitches those winning tactics into an agent that can either talk to customers directly by voice or text or sit alongside a human employee suggesting the next line.

Key facts

  • 01Encore AI raised $30M in Series A funding led by Team8, with participation from Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and several banks and insurers.
  • 02The company has more than 40 enterprise customers globally, the majority of which are financial institutions.
  • 03Annual recurring revenue has grown more than 5x since Encore's seed round less than 18 months ago.
  • 04Founded in 2022 as Insait IO, the company rebranded as Encore AI after pivoting from adviser recommendations to voice agents.
  • 05Encore will use the proceeds to expand US sales operations and deploy with more large financial institutions.

That approach means the agents don't just answer questions in a house style — they mimic the specific rhetorical moves the company's best closers use.

Sometimes our agents even tell the jokes that the relationship managers are telling, or give the anecdotes or examples that the relationship managers are giving, because we literally run by the playbooks that we see working
Dvir Ginzburg, Encore AI CEO

The same interaction-mining layer doubles as a diagnostic tool. Encore's dashboard lets sales and support leaders see where their existing processes are leaking revenue, where employees are hitting friction, and which recurring customer issues are dragging down conversion. The pitch to a bank or insurer is that the platform improves the human team's playbooks and deploys the AI agents in one motion, rather than treating them as separate projects.

The obvious threat is that Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, and HubSpot already own the CRM data and can bolt on similar AI features whenever they want. Encore's counter is that raw CRM access is not the same as conversational history, and that the incumbents' installed base is not currently structured to capture or reason over call transcripts as a first-class data source.

Ginzburg argues that retrofitting that capability would force the CRM giants to renegotiate their relationship with customer data across every deployment.

Financial services is a deliberate wedge. Banks, wealth managers, and insurers have long, high-value sales cycles, heavy compliance requirements around what an adviser can and cannot say, and existing recording infrastructure that already captures the conversations Encore needs. That combination makes them one of the few enterprise categories where a startup selling voice agents can plausibly out-execute Salesforce on data access — because the data is already sitting in call-recording systems the CRM never touched.

The Series A cash is earmarked for US sales expansion and larger financial-institution deployments. That is the harder sell: enterprise banks buy slowly, prefer incumbents, and rarely give a startup permission to touch customer conversations without heavy security review. The 5x ARR growth suggests early traction, but Ginzburg declined to share absolute revenue or the round's valuation, which leaves the scale question open.

The counterweight to the pitch is competitive timing. Voice-agent startups are proliferating, CRM incumbents are shipping agent features monthly, and the moat around "we listen to your calls" narrows the moment a Salesforce or HubSpot decides to treat call transcripts as a first-class training input. Encore's bet is that the incumbents' technical and organizational inertia buys enough time to lock in the largest financial customers before that shift happens.

The interesting signal in this round is not the $30 million — it is that banks and insurers invested after using the product. Enterprise financial buyers rarely take equity positions in vendors, and when they do it usually means the procurement conversation is going well enough that they want to see the roadmap up close. For a voice-agent startup competing against Salesforce, that is a more durable indicator than ARR growth. The next twelve months will show whether Encore can turn interaction mining into a category the incumbents cannot casually absorb, or whether it becomes a feature buried inside someone else's CRM.
