Apple is adding AI assistants built on its own models and OpenAI models to Pages, Keynote, Numbers and Logic Pro. The assistants are part of an Apple Creator Studio update arriving in November, and all four launch in beta.
Apple also announced that Keynote, Pages and Numbers will support the Model Context Protocol. That lets external AI agents and tools read document content, make edits and run automated actions inside the apps. MCP support requires macOS 27 or later.
“This is our most exciting update since the launch of Apple Creator Studio.”— Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud
Each assistant is tuned to its app. In Keynote, it understands the deck's context and helps design, animate and refine slides. In Pages, it drafts, restructures and fine-tunes writing. In Numbers, it calculates, visualizes and organizes data, recommends chart types with a one-tap preview and can build custom tables using world knowledge.

Logic Pro for Mac gets its own assistant that handles production tasks such as starting a new song, setting up a vocal track from a single prompt and refining an active project. Logic's Browser now uses on-device music understanding to analyze, classify and tag sounds automatically, and the Stem Splitter can isolate, replace or rebalance drum parts without the original multitracks.
Generative imaging spreads across the rest of the bundle. Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill, which edits a selected area from a text description and matches lighting, perspective and texture. Final Cut Pro and Motion can generate images from text inside a project, and Freeform will gain editable shape generation from text in December.
The update is free for existing subscribers. New subscribers pay $12.99 a month or $129 a year in the U.S., with a one-month free trial, and education pricing is $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year. The basic versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform remain free.
Requirements are tight at launch. The Keynote, Pages and Numbers assistants need an Apple Intelligence-capable device running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27, and the Logic Pro assistant needs macOS 27 on an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac. Both are available in U.S. English only.
Apple announced the Creator Studio changes alongside a new iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. Non-AI additions include built-in MotionVFX effects in Final Cut Pro, 23 new transcription languages and Content Hub stock video across the iWork apps.
