Meta launches Spaces, letting Muse agents build trackers and planners

Spaces are topic-specific conversations in the Muse sidebar that the agent builds on request and keeps updated from connected apps.

Meta has launched Spaces, a feature that lets its Muse agent build dedicated, topic-specific workspaces such as trackers, planners and project boards. Meta describes Spaces as custom experiences, and each one lives in the sidebar of the Muse interface.

Opening a space starts a conversation in which Muse works toward a specific goal for the user. Meta's examples include planning a vacation, collecting recipes for a family event, tracking holiday gifts, planning a wedding and managing DIY projects.

Creating one takes a chat message. Meta says users describe an idea and Muse builds the space, and that spaces can connect to the apps a user already uses so that details like new concert dates, price changes or savings progress show up without being requested.

“Playing around with spaces in Muse lately — tell Muse what you need and it builds it.”
— Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Meta

Key facts

  • 01Meta launched Spaces on November 6, 2026, as a new way to work with its Muse agent.
  • 02Users describe an idea in chat and Muse builds a space such as a tracker, planner or project board.
  • 03Spaces can connect to third-party apps and update themselves in the background.
  • 04Mark Zuckerberg said in October that Muse agents had 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada.
  • 05Spaces is the second new Muse feature in a week, after voice and expressive avatars on November 5.

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta's CEO, posted on Friday that he had used Spaces to build a BBQ game, an event tracker and a home control dashboard.

Spaces is the second Muse feature Meta has shipped in a week. On Thursday, the company rolled out voice and expressive avatars in the Muse app for real-time conversations with the agent.

Meta did not detail pricing, country availability or usage limits for Spaces. On its October earnings call, Zuckerberg said Muse agents had reached 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada less than two months after launch.
